The very first sentence in my grandma's cook book was "MAKE THE MOST OF WHAT YOU HAVE". Reading it at the age of 9, really made an impact on me and as time goes by and the years add on, the words grow in meaning.
Yes I would like all the fancy stuff and handy gadgets, the big house and meals as if every day was a party, but NO... I do not need all of that.
My Wonderland, and my take on this collab challenge, is to make a soap as if it was my grandma's cook book that was guiding me. In life I have to make the most of what I have, and I want to make the most of what I have. I find joy and happiness in the little things, and I feel I can do magic when what I have is enough.
In my wonderland we would all take a break from wanting more, we would stop throwing away things just because they are not perfect and we would learn to see the beauty in all things, even what is not fresh from the shop shelf.
This soap is like any other soap. Oils are good for your skin and it makes you clean. If you look at it one more time, you will also find that it has it's own kind of beauty!
I used 3 different fragrances. They were all leftovers from other soaps I made in the past, and the 3 combined turned out to be a great scent.
I used a red mica I gave up on several months ago. It morphs and turn ugly on top, but I cut the top off after it had cured for couple of weeks, and all is good.
For my embeds, I used some of the damaged soap from a batch of "Cool Lines of Lime" that I made this summer, and I also used the leftover batter from that same batch.
Red(ish), white and green with a splash of glitter, and it almost gave me "the christmas feeling" making it...
